Mr. Know-it-All

Looks like our guy has even more of both his mother and his father in him than anybody could have guessed! Daily conversations make it rather obvious, though: he is a total know-it-all.

Unlike his dad, however (hee hee) he isn’t actually always right. It’s just this routine that he has developed. Here’s a typical conversation:

2 years–can you believe it?

It’s unbelievable that our monkey recently turned 2. Ridiculous, right? And those of you with older children, adult children, and grandchildren are thinking, “2 years? That’s absolutely nothing.”

Birthday party is this weekend, but here are a few shots of the little guy demolishing a cupcake:

Family Photo – Monkey-themed? You bet!

Just a link today. But trust me, you’ll want to click it:

Update: for Flickr types, you’ll notice a link to the Flickr version (larger) from Justin’s blog post. You can check it out there, too, and if you’re involved in the Flickr community at all it’s a good place to leave a comment for the man himself, add it as a favourite, etc.

Other update: Alex and I were chatting about it, and laughing about how when he was doing the “hanging from the bar” part of the shoot, he let Justin take a few shots and then calmly said to me, “Codey done.”* So cute. We wanted to try to get as many as possible, though, so I asked him “Can you go up for one more?” “Kay.” he said calmly and didn’t fuss. A few like that and we gave him his freedom. ;-)

*this is what he calls himself. ;-)

Unprompted Love conversation

Posted by Greg June - 6 - 2011 - Monday ADD COMMENTS

Took the monkey to the Aviation Museum today (Aviation and Space? I can’t remember its name now). On the way home we had this cute conversation:

Monkey: Love you, daddy.

Me: Awesome! That works out perfectly because I love you, too!

Monkey: Codey love mommy, also.

Me: I know you do. Daddy, too!

Monkey: Mommy love daddy.

Me: You betcha; we love each other a lot!

Monkey: Mommy kiss daddy day. (here, ‘day’ means ‘today’)

Then some general laughter and carrying on.

So cute. Love that boy so much.

More about the museum (with photos!) in a day or two. ;-)
