Parental Leave Day 38 – The Last Day (overdue)

The last day of Parental Leave was a Friday. That meant a visit from Grammy (Grammie?) and Abuelito.

Part of me wanted to do something memorable, but honestly… what can you do? The best thing to make sure it was a great last day was to have help.

Nothing of particular interest happened. Watched some TV (Olympics), had some naps, did a little bit (a very little bit) of cleaning. Having grandparents there is always awesome.

And then it was over!

Sorry for the anti-climax!

I tried posting, but our internets have been lame lately. Here is tonight’s speed, which is actually a GOOD connection for what we’ve had lately:

Parental Leave Day 34 – Morning from Hell

As the title says, I had a morning from hell.

Sunday, I slept. And slept. Woke up very late (too embarrassed to say when), and just when I thought I was getting up to walk the dogs, etc., I slept some more. Alex had already gone to her parents’ place for a planned dinner that evening, so only the dogs were around to make sure I got out of bed at a reasonable hour. They failed in their duty.

Parental Leave Day 30 – Dog-walking. Again.

The morning nap was great. 9:30-ish until 11:15-ish. He slept on my chest. That method of sleeping doesn’t always guarantee longer sleeps, but it sure promotes the possibility.

By the time we woke up, went through a diaper change, had some food, played with some toys, and read a book, it was time for his next nap. Crazy how fast that interval went, and we didn’t even really “do” anything.
